by Gemma Mar

Here at Cube3, we are very proud of our team antics and we always try and get involved with events that can raise a bit of cash for charity! So in-keeping with that theme, we decided to get dressed up in red for Red Nose Day and try and get some cash for Comic Relief!

Account Manager, Gemma Connolly very kindly offered to make some of her amazing cupcakes (to sell for a price of course!) As you can see from the pic below, they were pretty special, with people paying over £10 for one cake!

One week, five award nominations for Cube3!

by Gemma Mar
10

Well, what a week it has been for award news! We are thrilled to announce that we have secured five prestigious industry award nominations in under a week.

The nominations come from two of the marketing industries most esteemed organisations, the Recommended Agency Register (RAR) and The Drum Marketing Awards.

As posted earlier in the week, we have impressed across three categories for RAR, including ‘Best in Advertising’, ‘Best in Integrated’ and ‘Best in Public Relations’. The Drum Marketing Awards have also given Cube3 the nod for our entries in ‘Customer Loyalty Strategy –  Asda Shades microsite’ and ‘Internal Marketing Strategy of the year - the Argos Customer Service Journey’.

The RAR Awards will be hosted in London on the 31st March, whilst The Drum Marketing Awards will be held in Cube3’s hometown of Manchester on the 12th May.

Best of luck to the team! :o)

Client praise lands Cube3 award nominations!

by Gemma Mar
07

We love receiving award nominations but the RAR Awards in particular are extra rewarding as they are voted for by our clients.

We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for three prestigious awards in this year’s round of ratings and are finalists across the following categories;

-      Best in Advertising

-      Best in Integrated

-      Best in Public Relations

Set up to recognise service excellence across marketing companies in the UK, RAR reward purely on the feedback from a company’s clients; making the incentive for agencies to enter that bit greater!

So how does it work I hear you ask? Well, RAR look at the ratings received in relation to different categories and then weigh the scores depending on how many ratings have been received – more ratings mean more nominations!

Thank you to all our clients who took the time to fill in the evaluation and give us the thumbs up!

The results of the 2011 awards will be announced at the Marriot Hotel, Kensington on Thursday 31 March – fingers crossed we can bring an award home to Manchester!

‘Cube3 rebrands 100 years of Sudlows’

by Gemma Mar
07

Since the establishment of Sudlows in 1912, the process of branding has progressed dramatically. As we progress into an age very centralised around marketing, branding and PR, the speed and scale at which we can communicate with each other is an imperative part of any company’s commercial progression.

Over the past century Sudlows has developed rapidly, with a significant number of service providers and Blue Chip organisations taking advantage of their industry leading technology. The business was thriving but as with many growing companies, their branding and credentials had become out of sync with their evolving market position.

Sudlows called upon Cube3 to advise and create their overarching marketing strategy including a new corporate ID and digital proposition to take them seamlessly into the next 100 years of trading.

Building upon London presence with Charterhouse win…

by Gemma Mar
02

In new contract news, we are please to announce that we have been commissioned to create a new brand to assist with the growth of leading Central London property experts, Charterhouse.

The company, who acquire and redevelop exclusive properties in the most prestigious areas of London, have enjoyed continual success and are leading on what Paramount Magazine recently reported as ‘an increasing demand’ for London based high end property.

With the price of the average house falling for the fifth time in seven months, high-end investors have been further encouraged to invest in London’s lucrative property scene.

The positioning of the Charterhouse brand was therefore vital along with the selection of a new marketing partner who could lead them in co-ordinating sales and marketing assets to present individual properties worth in excess of £10m to an extremely discerning international clientele.

Cube3 secured the contract over a number of other experienced London agencies, demonstrating a clear insight and culture match with the team at Charterhouse.

Managing Director, Karl Barker commented:

“Winning this business against some heavyweight London agencies is a significant milestone for us and firmly puts Cube3 on the map. We are grateful that geographical location differences didn’t affect our selection and it gives us the ability to extend our offering into London.”

We look forward to keeping you updated with this one!

“Tweak Me, Tweak Me, Tweak Me Baby… ‘Till I lose Control!”

I have been doing some research into the madness of Google at present and it seems to have been a really rather busy few weeks for Google, with them testing new variations of PPC advert display all over the place.

If you’re not familiar with this practice, Google split-test paid search adverts with slightly different appearances – for example something in a slightly different colour – across a huge number of potentially worldwide searches and judge whether certain variations are more successful in terms of encouraging click-through.
